Should We Be Scared?
With basic rights being stripped, what’s next?
Two journalists were jailed last week for covering news. A protester was shot ten times in the back two weeks ago after being disarmed of his legally concealed weapon. Two weeks before that, another protester was shot in the head at close range in her car while driving away. Now, there’s talk of nationalizing elections and seizing ballot boxes. This isn’t happening in a third-world country. It’s going down right here in the good old US of A.
And all while the biggest scandal in our lifetimes is happening as a backdrop. The elite class has been exposed as morally reprehensible pedophiles at worst and complicit at best, turning a blind eye to the evil that was Jeffrey Epstein.
The cover-up is epic. Full pages of the files are redacted while victims are named and pictured, including some who were underage. Accusations of rape against the sitting president and even talk of snuff films are among the unbelievable contents of the recently released 3 million pages. Unfortunately, it seems no one else will be held accountable for trafficking thousands of women and children. At least not yet.
Aside from the scandal, there is serious civil unrest happening around the country. We are feeling the oppression of an oppressive regime.
There’s more and more federal presence on the streets of our cities. Citizens are increasingly under a police state, with the atmosphere reeking of authoritarianism. The playbook has gone beyond Project 2025 to a new level of darkness, even for this administration. The lies don’t ever stop coming, and even in the face of video evidence, their cultists eat them up. It’s sickening.
I spoke to my brother in ruby red Florida yesterday, and he’s on high alert. He told me to watch my back here in New York and not to think it won’t be coming to us soon enough. He advised me to carry my passport and be ready to get out of town if things get too hot here. He’s a retired cop and my older brother, so his advice has some weight with me.
My brother also told me about how his sister-in-law was pulled over and asked for her papers. She’s an Air Force veteran, and even after providing her ID, the officers insisted on her birth certificate. She happened to have a copy on her because she had recently renewed her passport. If not for that, she might have been taken into custody. Who the hell normally carries their birth certificate? She was born in this country. She’s a citizen. She served her nation.
For the first time, I feel like this shit might get real for all of us.
I’ve written a series of essays on the recent madness, and am linking them below. Like so many of you, I’m outraged at what’s going on, and I need to express it so I don’t explode. I hope you’re finding some way to let out some steam. Stay safe.
